Posted by Gary Ramey on March 11th, 2012

I uploaded an HD video compilation of some of my high dynamic range (HDR) and infrared (IR) photographs. I created the music using Sony Acid. Hope you enjoy.

I have used Sony Acid to create loops. I think there is a DJ version that enables you to mix and create loops on the fly. But regarding beat making software, there are some very good ones which have hit the market that allow you to have a virtual drum machine and sound board from your keyboard and computer. That’s really good use of a wide angle lens on some of the shots in this montage.

My compliments on your dynamic portfolio and a captivating video presentation montage. You certainly did a great job of applying some visual effects filters. The color effect on some of these photos is really nice. I have used a certain plugin which gives photos some unusual contrast and color effects which is very similar to what these photos. Did you use a wide angle or fish eye lens for some of these landscape style images?

I use a Rokinon 8mm fisheye lens. It is a fully manual lens which means that it doesn’t communicate with the camera at all. This means that you only use the camera to set the shutter speed. The aperture and focus are set manually on the lens. Here is a link to my review of the Rokinon 8mm lens. I highly recommend this lens.
